Please join the Peace River Audubon Society for a WalkAbout to Sleeping Turtle Preserve South on March 1, 2011 at 8am. This Sarasota preserve has a varied habitat - one of the trails circles a large lake with marshy areas. It can have a good variety of bird species, especially at this time of year.
Meet at the grassy parking area on River Road, just south of I-75 River Road exit ramp. Going south on River Road, watch for the small sign on the left side of the road
just beyond the exit ramp: Parking is along the fence just off the road. For information, call Stu Lewis at (941) -235-2590. All of our trips, meetings and WalkAbouts are free and open to the public. For our complete schedule, please visit PeaceRiverAudubon.org.
