Fruit of Glory Ministries will host its 5th Annual Be Beautiful: Inside and Out community affair on Saturday, May 21, 2011. The event, themed “Exposing Domestic Violence” will bring awareness to physical, mental and emotional abuse in the Bay area community. Taproot Community Cultural Center will welcome hundreds in the community to recognize women who were brave enough to leave or escape their abusers. Be Beautiful will also feature a health fair and free screenings for blood pressure, glucose, HIV and STDs (10am-1pm). Women can relax with complimentary facials, manicures and chair messages while children are entertained in the interactive kids’ zone (4 – 12 yrs. old). The afternoon program will offer free lunch, cash door prizes, great raffles and a special performance from nationally recognized, spoken word artist Sunni Patterson. Be Beautiful is a free family event and all are welcomed to attend.
