King High School 50th Anniversary Celebration On Thursday October 28, 2010. join us at the pre-game Homecoming Barbecue Dinner from 5 - 7 PM.

Before the game is the King High School Alumni Organization Annual Homecoming Alumni Barbecue Dinner. The BBQ is from 5-7PM and is in the cafeteria. The BBQ will again this year be catered by Lupton’s Catering. The BBQ is a fundraiser with proceeds going toward Wall of Pride projects that help benefit some of the school’s various organizations.

This year October 28-30, 2010 our KING High School will be celebrating their 50th year anniversary with a Homecoming Birthday Celebration. We hope to make it the biggest and best all time local school reunion ever.
This is King High School’s 50th year since being built in 1960. This year the King H.S. Alumni Organization will again be sponsoring their annual Wall of Pride Homecoming Events.

The plan is to elect new members to the Wall of Pride and their awards are to be formally presented Friday October 29, 2010 at the luncheon, in the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club.

The format for the luncheon is set.

Speakers are Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio and Temple Terrace Mayor Joe Affronti,

School Administrators George Gaffney and Jack Lamb, and of
course, KHS Principal Carla Bruning. 59 reservations have been sold, and
about 35 guests have been invited. The committee has determined that as
chair of the committee, I will be handling the Wall of Pride presentations
with the assistance of Mayor Pam Iorio and Principal Carla Bruning. I will
give a short explanation of the WOP Program and then ask each of the people
who nominated the recipient to come up and give a short narrative about why
they chose this person. The recipient will then come up, receive the plaque
and both will return to their seats. The WOP recipients will be presented in
order of graduation year. Rob will speak about why he nominated Coach Mac.
Afterwards, all the WOP recipients will gather for a photo.

On Thursday October 28, 2010 King H.S. will be hosting their annual Homecoming Game. Kick-off is at 7:30PM and they will be hosting another good football team - Bloomingdale H.S. We hope everyone will come to the game and also participate in some of the pre-game festivities.

Before the game is the KHSAO Annual Homecoming Alumni BBQ. The BBQ is from 5-7PM and is either in the cafeteria and/or (weather permitting) just outside the stadium entrance. The BBQ will again be catered by Lupton’s Catering.

The BBQ is a fundraiser with proceeds going toward Wall of Pride projects. These projects help benefit some of the school’s various organizations.

Tickets are $10 in advance. Each ticket gets you a delicious BBQ dinner and an entry into a drawing to be held at the event (need not be present to win). The dinner consists of chicken, ribs, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, garlic bread and tea.
