Join us on Friday, April 20 from 8 to 11 p.m. for Art after Dark: Turntable Remix, celebrating John Cage 33 1/3 Performed by Audience on the night before the fifth annual Record Store Day, a national celebration of record store culture and music.
Enjoy eye-popping artwork – using records as both material and inspiration – by Tampa residents Susan Janvrin and Matt Normand, plus USF alum Craig Kaths, on display in our Golding Scher Classroom.
Music by DJ Brian Oblivion provides a backdrop to our Pop-Up Record Shop, featuring vinyl for sale by purveyors such as Microgroove, Daddy Kool Records, and Mojo Books & Music.
Also in store: Sleeveface photo contest, video presentations and other surprises from Cage sponsors WMNF 88.5 FM, Creative Loafing, and Amoeba Music.
