2012 GEMI Member Meeting #1 - Feb

GEMI’s Meeting #1 will be held on February 21-23, in Tampa, FL .  Below you will find information about the meeting as well as basic logistics so you may make your travel plans.  Note: All meetings will be held at the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk, and a block of guest rooms has also been reserved there (details below). 
A detailed Draft meeting agenda will be sent in mid-January as well as posted to the Gemi members only site.  Updated draft agendas will be sent with meeting registration reminders as well.
MEETING Agenda / Schedule: • Tuesday, February 21  @ 2:00pm – 5:00pm Est: The Gemi Water Sustainability Work Group will be meeting to discuss ideas and plans for launching the Gemi Local Water Tool™ (LWT). o  Note: Everyone is on their own for dinner this evening.
• Wednesday, February 22: Gemi Network Meetings o  9:00am – 4:30pm Est: The Climate Change, Health & Safety, and Sustainable Development Networks will be meeting, followed by a roundtable discussion of emerging issues.  Their sessions will include roundtable discussions, guest speakers and plans for 2012.  More information on these sessions will be provided in the Draft agenda that will be distributed next month. o  6:00pm: dinner function – TBD
•  Thursday, February 23 at 8:00am – 2:30pm Est : Gemi Forum Day #1 will focus on supply chain sustainability. The day’s discussions will look at the challenges companies face with integrating sustainability into the supply chain, and explore a variety of useful approaches to incorporate standards, engage stakeholders and develop new tools to address those challenges.The day will include a mix of expert presenters, Gemi member company experiences and approaches to identifying issues, and an interactive workshop.
