Celery Fields

Please join the Peace River Audubon for a field trip on Saturday, January 21, to Celery Fields in Sarasota. Major work done there over the past few years has led to an abundance of birds on the various ponds and canals, making it a prime birding site. Although we intend to walk quite a bit of the time, there are alternatives for those who would rather not. There are no benches or shade except for two small gazebos, so take that into consideration when preparing for the trip. Bring walking shoes, lunch and plenty of water. Meet at the North meeting place, Peachland Mall parking lot, behind McDonalds, at 7 AM to arrange carpooling. For additional information, call Eleanor Marr at 941-624-4182.
