Shuhari Martial Arts

Sensei Mark Baker was born and raised in Sarasota, FL where he started training martial arts at the age of 13, in 1984. He holds the rank of Rokudan (6th Dan) in Shuri Ryu Karate Do. He also holds a 3rd degree black belt rank in Shuri-Te Ju-Jutsu, and a 2nd degree in Shinto Yoshin Ryu Jiu-Jitsu.

Sensei Baker has been teaching since 1989, and since that time he has whole-heartedly committed himself to studying and sharing the martial arts with those who are eager to learn.

The instructors at Shuhari Martial Arts are well trained in the standards and methods of Shuri Ryu Karate, Ju-Jitsu, and other martial arts styles. They are knowledgeable in the various aspects of the training you will receive at this dojo. Attending weekly classes, as well as specialized seminars each year, the black belts keep their skills current and continue to grow as martial artists and instructors.
