Rothenbach Park

Rothenbach Park is a true community park offering many opportunities for recreational and nature based fun. Its amenities feature some of the most advanced recycling and sustainable building techniques and materials available including soy-based insulation, high reflective roof materials, recycled content siding, waterless urinals, high efficiency compact lighting, composite wood beams and an on-site stormwater retention and treatment system. As a mater of fact the entire site is a closed and capped landfill which has been "recycled" into open vistas and a beautiful public park, a prime example of turning trash into treasure!

Rothenbach Park offers recreation and nature lovers about 5-miles of paved recreational trails that are perfect for walking, jogging, cycling. For those wanting to get a bit closer to nature, there is also a series of un-paved trails throughout the park.

Rothenbach Park also offers two great playground areas complete with the latest in safe playground equipment that sits on top of a soft mulch surface so kids can run and jump with reduced risk of injury. We also have a pavilion that offers restrooms, kitchen facilities and grills. This pavilion is also available for rent for private parties.

This area has always been a habitat for wildlife. We have built a multi-purpose park that preserves the natural areas and remains true to the county’s efforts at becoming more sustainable. Rothenbach Park is also home to the FPL solar array which provides electrical power to the FPL grid.
