The Music Man

The Sarasota High School Performing Arts Department proudly presents The Music Man. This classic musical tells the story of Harold Hill, a conman who, in order to sell band instruments, convinces the citizens of River City, Iowa that he can teach the town’s boys to play in a marching band. Hill doesn't count on falling in love with the town librarian, who threatens to expose his clever scheme.

The show dates are Wednesday April 22, Thursday April 23, Friday April 24 and Saturday April 25; all show times are 7:00 p.m. in the Sarasota High Auditorium, 1000 School Ave. We invite Sarasota area children, ages 4-13, to participate in a special performance during the Friday evening show. They will sing and dance in a number with the cast and participate in the finale and bows.
