St. Armands Key Lutheran Church

The ensemble has performed in a number of European countries and most recently participated in the world acclaimed Latvian Song and Dance Festival 2008 in Riga, Latvia. The dancers will wear traditional folk costumes and base the performance repertoire on Latvian national traditions and folklore. You will not want to miss this opportunity to see and enjoy this colorful and authentic performance of Latvian music and folk dance and hear the story of a people’s faith that has overcome 46 years of oppression.

Lutheran Social Services of New York and special friends have made this cultural exchange possible. There are more than 3,000 Latvian children, of all ages, living in Latvian orphanages, and many waiting to be adopted. Funds raised through this performance will be used to help support Lutheran Social Services of New York’s New LIFE Adoption Program and its partnership efforts in Latvia on behalf of children and families.
