Go Ahead, Make Moe’s Day
“The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: the Sequel” is coming your way from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, from Cat Depot, Sarasota’s largest feline-focused shelter. This special Adopt-a-Kitty-Thon and Open House at 5933 N. Washington Blvd., Sarasota, will feature rescued rough-and-ready-to-go-home felines.
Cat Depot is currently caring for 200 cats that have been rescued or relinquished by loving families that could no longer care for them. Cat Depot also features cats like Moe who was found roaming the streets of Sarasota in 2006 living on meager handouts.
“Make His Day”: Adopt Moe
“We’re using the theme ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’ because these cats have had very rough, tough lives,” says Ken Slavin, one of Cat Depot’s co-founders. “With apologies to Clint Eastwood, what we’re really hoping to do is make their day by sending them home with loving new families.”
“The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” Adopt-a-Kitty-Thon and Open House will feature complimentary hot dogs, chips and soft drinks along with adoption specials and cool, cat-themed door prizes.
The donation to adopt an adult cat is $60, and $75 to adopt a kitten. Each cat is spayed or neutered, has been tested for feline-specific diseases (such as leukemia and HIV), has been vaccinated and is also microchipped.
Round up your partners and come on down to our kitty corral!
