Sunday Stroll

Join Sarasota County Parks Naturalist, Jennifer Rogers, for a Sunday Stroll nature walk at Urfer Park. Guests will have the opportunity to traverse a variety of habitats including herbaceous and forested wetlands, as well as pine flatwoods. Feel miles away in this nearby park nestled in a residential area. Participants should wear appropriate shoes for walking on both paved and uneven sandy trails. Recommended items to bring are camera, binoculars, bird and/or Florida field guide, water, insect repellent, sunglasses or hat, and sunscreen. To reach Urfer Park, 4000 Honore Ave., Sarasota, take I-75 to Exit 207 Bee Ridge Road West to Honore Avenue, approximately .9 miles. Turn left on Honore Avenue. Park will be located on your immediate right with parking available after the entrance area. Meet at the pavilion.
