This course is for beginning farmers to help them develop key skills and knowledge that are critical to manage a successful fruit and/or vegetable farm operation. Topics include crop selection, marketing, soil management, integrated pest management. It is also an excellent opportunity for networking and connecting with farmers and extension agents. Dinner included. Registration is required at http://sarasota.ifas.ufl.edu. Deadline for registration is January 23, 2012.
