READING TUTORS NEEDED

PALS Partners in Education is the community involvement office of the Sarasota County Public Schools. PALS helps secure our county's students educational future by offering early proactive intervention for struggling students. Commitment as a reading volunteer is a minimum of one hour per week, working one to one with the same child in either kindergarten, 1st or 3rd grade. Tutor training is provided, and sessions will be conducted at 1950 Landings Blvd.,SRQ County Public School complex, in the blue awning building on the 2nd floor, from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Trainings are being offered on: Wed. Oct. 22nd; Wed, Nov. 12th; or Tues., Jan. 13th. There is an additional training for south county residents to be held on Oct. 21st. at Lamarque Elementary in North Port. Math tutor training will be conducted on Oct. 29 at the Landings.
