Englewood Community Presbyterian Church

The Community Presbyterian Church of Englewood Florida is hosting an Installation Service for their new pastor, Rev. Scott W. Wilson, on December 7, 2008 at 3p.m.
Ministers and Elders of Peace River Presbytery (the larger body of PCUSA churches in southwest Florida) will take part in the service, including Rev. Wilson’s wife Caroline Wilson who is Pastor of Braden River Presbyterian Church in Bradenton, Florida. The Moderator of the Presbytery will officiate the service, and ask the installation questions of Rev. Wilson and the congregation.
Rev. Wilson is originally from the Pittsburgh area where he grew up being active in Southminster Presbyterian Church. He worked in the high technology field in Pittsburgh before attending Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He and his wife and daughter moved to Florida in 1997, and he has served in this area since then at the Palmetto Presbyterian Church of Palmetto, Florida. He is excited about the future possibilities for the Community Presbyterian Church, and is looking forward to his time there.
All are welcome to the service, with a reception to follow in Kastner Hall.
