Are You Smarter Than a Rocket-Scientist? Camp

Learn rocket design: effects of Charles Law on crushing metal, heat conduction, and effects of Boyle’s law on temperature changes. Design rockets for travel in Earth’s atmosphere powered by compressed air or carbon dioxide. Learn the science behind propulsion and landing to aid in design. Rockets constructed of household items and students maximize distance flown, softness of landing, or another variable of their choosing. Camp meets needs of gifted students who completed 5th-8th grade.
