Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park

Please join the Peace River Audubon Society for a hike through that portion of Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park located in the area abutting
Rotonda Circle. Our hike will take place on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 beginning at 8 a.m. .
This parcel of State Park consists of oak scrub, wetlands, sloughs, and sand trails.Finding the entrance to this parcel of land is often a challenge. One set of directions given is: (From Englewood) Take State Road 776 to Placida Road (775), Placida Road to Rotonda Boulevard West, make a left and drive to the end, make a left on Parade Circle, then a left on Rotonda Boulevard East to Rotonda Circle. Go right on Rotonda Circle, and then go to the end
and make a right on Rotonda Boulevard South. Look for the sign and grassy parking area on the left. (From Port Charlotte) Take 776 to Gasparilla Road (771), then right on Rotonda Boulevard East to Rotonda Circle, left on Rotonda Circle to Rotonda Boulevard South, right on Rotonda Boulevard South to sign and grassy parking area on the left.
