BankAtlantic, “Florida’s Most Convenient Bank,” is helping babies get a healthy start one step at a time. The Bank will serve as the sole Bank Day sponsor in Hillsborough County on Thursday, April 23 to raise funds for the March of Dimes, March for Babies Walk on Saturday, April 25.
The BankAtlantic branch on Brandon Boulevard, 301 W. Brandon Blvd., will participate in Bank Day by assisting in the collection of donations from the community. Bank Day is estimated to bring in approximately 85% of all donations made towards the March for Babies Walk. The bank is open from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The 5 mile walk will take place at University of Tampa Plant Park, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and lasts until 8 a.m., when the walk commences. BankAtlantic will have a sponsor table and a check point table where walkers will receive oranges and water.
In addition to being a Bank Day sponsor, BankAtlantic also has a team of associates who will be volunteering their time at the walk. They expect to have between 50 – 100 participating associates. Billy A. Trammell, Jr., Customer Service Manager at BankAtlantic and the Bank’s Team Captain for March for Babies said, “My commitment to the March of Dimes has grown out of my love of children. These babies are our future. The work that March of Dimes performs for the families and babies ensures that they will have the opportunities that I have been blessed with; BankAtlantic’s support makes all of this possible.”
The money raised through March for Babies and other March of Dimes fundraising events supports lifesaving research, community events, education and advocacy that help babies get a healthy start.
