LET’S ROLL! This ride is a tribute to remember those who lost their lives on 9-11-2001 and for the brave men and women of the armed forces who are fighting for us today to keep us safe. Ride date: Sunday, September 11, 2011. FREE registration starts at the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office parking lot, 600 301 Boulevard, West. (across from DeSoto Mall) Registration is at from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 am. (a signed waiver/registration form is required). Dignitaries such as Senator Mike Bennett, a guest speaker and others will be at the opening ceremonies from 11am to noon. The fully escorted ride leaves from the Sheriff’s Department parking lot at noon and will travel to Coquina Beach for a short memorial ceremony for those lost at the World Trade Center, Pentagon and on Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. Special thanks to the Manatee Sheriff’s Dept. for the escort, Manatee County Parks and Recreation for use of the park, The City of Bradenton Beach and the assistance of all County and City officials who have assisted with this event.

The confirmed route: MSO Ops Center left from the parking lot on 301 Blvd. Crossing 1st Street to 9th St. E, south bound on 9th St. E. to 53rd Ave.E.(SR-70) and then turn left at 53rd Ave. W. proceed to the 75th St.W. roundabout and head north on 75th St.W. At the Cortez Rd.W. and 75th St.W. intersection turning left, west on Cortez Rd.W. At Gulf Drive South turn left, continue to the southern Coquina Beach parking lot. A Wreath Ceremony will take place at the beach. Special thanks to the Manatee County Parks Dept. for opening up the beach parking lot to us.

“BOSS HAWG” will be performing during the line up prior to the 11 AM ceremony, the Vietnam Brotherhood will be presenting the colors and honor guard. “Java Dog” coffee bus will be on site for morning refreshments. We will have some 501c 3 tents set up and some biker vendors. The sheriff’s department requested no alcoholic beverages be on site and no sales of alcohol will take place during this ride. Port –o- let facilities will be provided on site. We will be selling water to raise money to pay for this FREE event again this year, the water has again been donated by Walgreens Bradenton. As well Walgreen’s will have a FREE photo shoot taking place at line up and you will be able to pick up the FREE prints at any Walgreens of your choice in Bradenton.

This is a police escorted ride and all motorcyclists are encouraged to come out and support this event. The general public is encouraged to sit along the route on the sidewalks and cheer the bikers on! This is an open event open to all motorcycles and bike clubs. (This is a motorcycle ride only).

Special thanks for Insurance finances for this ride that have been provided by the following local bike dealerships, Action Kawasaki Bradenton, Manatee River Harley Davidson, Hap’s Honda and “SOS” Suzuki Of Sarasota, as well contribution from the Blue Knights Florida XVIII Manatee / Sarasota chapter and Hytec Lawn equipment @ 15th St. Bradenton.
