De Soto National Memorial

More than 200 people are expected to volunteer as De Soto National Memorial hosts the National Parks America Tour event on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will engage in important revitalization projects while spending the day in their local national park. Volunteer activities will include assisting the park with the development of a butterfly garden, spreading shell over visitor trails and park-wide litter patrol. Volunteers will meet at the park’s Visitor Center and receive a free t-shirt and lunch compliments of program sponsor, Unilever.
