Please join the Peace River Audubon Society for the first field trip of this season on Saturday, 10/22/11 to the Lemon Bay Conservancy’s (LBC) Wildflower Preserve on Gasparilla Road in Cape Haze. The LBC has transformed a former golf course into an 80 acre preserve with trails, benches, and various habitats. Eight focus areas include the Birding Woodland, Native Butterfly Habitat, and the Gopher Tortoise Meadow. At this time the public may only visit the preserve as a part of a LBC approved guided tour led by one of their volunteers.
