DCHS 8th Annual Pioneer Day

DeSoto County Historical Society's 8th Annual Pioneer Day is a Florida Heritage Month event that showcases DeSoto County’s history! Fun for the whole family includes legendary characters and skit, frontier shoot-out, live music, vintage cars, antique engines, classic firetruck, Florida authors and artists, demonstrations of old-fashioned skills and crafts, a FREE "Discover History" hands-on children's area, fossil-dig, games, animals, plus--special and traditional Florida foods--even barbecue.
